Phlebotomus chabaudi (F)

Phlebotomus chabaudi Croset, Abonnenc & Rioux, 1970
Subgenus: Paraphlebotomus Theodor, 1948

Females of P. chabaudi and P. riouxi are distinguished from the other Paraphlebotomus females by their characteristic pharyngeal armature and spermatheca. The discrimination between the females of these two species however can be challenging. Minor differences in pharyngeal armature might be helpful.
